![]() Their students will catch a glimpse of what it means to be fully alive in Christ. ![]() As long as they are tethered to the truth that sets us free, as long as they hint at the beauty of holiness, as long as they exemplify a hunger and thirst for reality, their students will be blessed indeed. ![]() Teachers do not have to be already perfect to be effective guides to the Eternal and Incarnate Wisdom that stands beyond all of us. But, as we know, some sins are qualitatively worse than others some errors are more massive and pernicious than others and some kinds of ignorance are far more terrible than others. True education presupposes the Christian revelation of man’s fallen plight and of the wisdom from above that can heal him and elevate him.Īdmittedly, there is no merely human teacher who is altogether free from ignorance, error, and sin. It is a reflection of the journey of Israel, led from slavery in Egypt to freedom in Canaan: that archetypal journey onto which all subsequent religious journeys are mapped. More likely it takes all of one’s life to copy wisdom word for word in one’s own voice and hand.Įducation, from the Latin ex-ducere, means “to lead out”-so the logical question is, lead out from what? From ignorance, error, and sin, into knowledge, truth, and holiness. It takes a serious part of your life to copy it out. The printing press, like the copy machine or the internet, increases geometrically the production of babble, but wisdom remains what it always has been, something each person must copy over word for word in his own voice, with her own hand. Why copy it out if it does not speak to you of your life?. It is taking a serious part of your life to copy it out. Living in an age when, if a book was saved, it was saved by the person who wished to save it by copying it word for word, I suppose one would be more serious about one’s reading. In a forthcoming book on the Book of Job, Gene Fendt writes about the scribes who copied out manuscripts: It is a dazzling display of synthesis between human language and divine “My thoughts are not your thoughts,” the Lord said in Scripture, but reading Bernard one realizes that by the end of his life he could truthfully say to the Lord: “ Your thoughts are my thoughts.” It is impossible to read more than a few sentences without encountering words, phrases, whole sentences lifted from Scripture and tweaked this way or that to serve his immediate purpose. Look at a towering figure like St Bernard of Clairvaux, a beacon of light to the whole of twelfth-century Europe. The answer is yes: it is the intellectual, moral, and spiritual copying of Christ, the imitatio Christi that should descend even to the words and phrases we think in and write in. The purpose of this essay, however, is not to expend time and energy commenting on “ Claudinegate ” (“Gaygate” doesn’t quite work), but to ask a different and better question: Is there a legitimate form of plagiarizing that students and indeed faculty should be engaging in constantly? In the news recently we have been treated to the disgraceful episode of a famous university’s president taking grossly irresponsible political stances and committing manifest violations of the rules of authorial integrity (i.e., she plagiarized like nobody’s business).

So the software is pretty much effective in removing the data from your drive. If you try to find the data using file recovery app then it may not even show you the file names lost in the drive. And after finishing the task, you should definitely reboot in order to flush the RAM. During this process, the computer becomes slow. This makes the recovery of the file harder. ![]() Most mods and mod guides require you own all of Fallout 4's DLC. Although you can potentially get by on a pirated copy for a while, you will inevitably end up running into issues that stem purely from using a pirated copy of the game for which nobody will be able to assist you. In order to properly mod Fallout 4, you must own a LEGAL copy of the game. I'll first start with the general important tips/things to know: Before starting it's important to note that this post is in relation to PC modding only as console simply doesn't have the benefits of all the mods and customization options and tools that PC does. Even for those who just want to install a small set of basic QoL or bug fix mods, there are certain best practices and tips that can be followed for ANY modded setup which will help ensure a stable playthrough. It is a very rewarding experience for those willing to put in the effort, but it also doesn't have to be anything too daunting or fussy. You will likely not get it 100% perfect the 1st, 2nd, or maybe even the 20th time, but so long as you're willing to learn from your mistakes and hone in on the finer details you will inevitably grow over time until reaching a point where you yourself have created a modded setup that you can be proud of. The most important question that should be asked and answered by those new to modding is "where do I begin on the journey that is modding Fallout 4?" As with anything that requires a bit of effort, you get out what you put into modding. I see on an almost daily basis people asking questions on here along the same lines of "what mods should I use?", "what mods should I avoid?", "why does my game crash when running F4SE through a mod manager?", etc. I can't claim to know everything and as with any modding community there will always be discrepancies and arguments for or against certain claims, but I am creating this post mostly of what I consider to be widely agreed-upon tips and practices that I learned from veteran modders and several guides for F4 over the years. That's why I went on to create 3 thematic modlist/guides of my own which attempt to serve the dual purpose of offering tips and tools helpful for any modded setup and also providing an entirely unique playthrough opportunity (these and other great modlists will be linked at the end of the post). ![]() I'm a years-long member of the F4 modding community and I've made it my mission to try and help people learn how to efficiently mod Fallout 4 in a way where the end result is stable and, most importantly, satisfying. Place the first card from the stock in the waste pile. The stock is made up of the remaining twenty-four cards. Finally, lay ten cards face up in a row across the bottom, each card overlapping the previous face-down card. ![]() Next, deal three cards on top of the two cards, offset by the same degree. Next, deal two cards face-down onto each card, offset, so they form a pyramid. To create the pyramids, deal three cards face down. Each pyramid has six cards each with a row of ten cards beneath connecting the three pyramids at the base. Eighteen cards are dealt face-down to form three “pyramids”. The defining feature of this version of the game is the three peaks layout. Tripeaks is also known as Three Peaks, Tri Towers and Triple Peaks. The game became widely popular after it was included in the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. The Tripeaks variation was created by Robert Hogue in 1989. The game didn't make its way across the Atlantic to the USA until 1870 where it became known as “Klondike Solitaire”, then just “Solitaire”. Solitaire, in its original form, emerged in the 1700s in northern Europe and was widely known as “Patience”. The game is played with one standard deck. The object of the game is to clear all the cards from the three peaks. If you've played traditional Classic Solitaire, and looking to play one of the fun variations, you might want to take a look at Tripeaks Solitaire. The waste pile is to the left of the draw pile. It is hard to score more than 2,060 points as doing so requires you clearing 28 cards off the board in under a minute, with 5 seconds used up by the initial deal. The theoretical maximum score is 2,120, which is comprised of: The time bonus is added to your row bonus and card removal score to create your total score. If you finished the game in a minute and 18 seconds then it would be 922 bonus points. The time bonus starts off at 1,000 points and counts down a point each second. Players earn a time bonus for completing the game quickly. Most matches are worth five points. When you clear a row you get the row bonus score instead of the 5 points. There is a top row of three single cards (peaks of the pyramids) turned face-down, followed by a row of two cards, and so on, down to a final row of ten up-turned cards. The playing field is organized into three pyramids, or “peaks”. The above games allow you to submit your high score. Tripeaks Solitaire - 15 custom level designs with a 2-minute time limit each and Joker wild cards scattered throughout.Tripeaks Halloween - cute and cartoony 6-stage spooky Tripeaks game with a 4-minute time limit on each level & a variety of power up cards.Tripeaks Creatures - unique tableau layouts in a 40 level game with 2 minutes allowed per level.Use your in-game points to buy high-strength bonus cards. Trifruit - 42 stages with a unique twist.Tower - Tripeaks game organized as a single large pyramid.Skyscraper - 10 timed 4 minute levels. The vertical size of the board grows as you advance to higher levels. The first level has a face up Tripeaks layout with a face down inverted Tripeaks after it. Snowy Peaks - 6-stage Tripeaks game with 6 minute time limit on each level.Paris Tripeaks - same general play mechanics, but vastly different level design layouts & wild cards. ![]()

Having been announced early in the life of the Archimedes, FaxPack was delayed after "serious interrupt latency problems" were experienced with the Archimedes' original operating system, Arthur, which impaired the product's ability to receive faxes. : 3 Fax and printer cards both subsequently featured in Computer Concepts' Archimedes-based product line as the FaxPack and LaserDirect, respectively. Acorn had already delivered a similar direct-drive laser printing solution to Olivetti by the time of the planned announcement, with the intention of incorporating the solution into Olivetti's ETV range. A package containing the PC, printer card, a fax card and scanner was "expected to cost about £4000", and was set to be announced at the Personal Computer Show in September 1988 as "the launchpad for an ambitious office system". Īnother hardware product that was planned but not apparently realised in its original form was a laser printer card for IBM PC-compatible machines, employing Acorn's ARM chipset and Computer Concepts' own PostScript clone. With the introduction of RISC OS and the elimination of many of the concerns about the earlier Arthur operating system, the company announced support in their applications for both Impulse and RISC OS, but ended up only releasing RISC OS versions of applications such as Impression. Ĭomputer Concepts had been developing its own operating system, Impulse, along with a hardware product (originally named Equinox) consisting of two IBM PC-compatible expansion cards providing Acorn's ARM-based chipset that would "take over processing from the host PC" and run the Impulse operating system, although the company had also stated an intention to make Impulse available for the Archimedes and thereby support its own applications running on Acorn's own hardware. Since the Computer Concepts name was not suitable for international use, the Xara name had been adopted to market PC-based products. Once again in its history, Computer Concepts insisted that it was not abandoning the Acorn market, noting the introduction of various product upgrades and peripherals for the Acorn machines, while promoting Xara Studio – "really like an ArtWorks Version 2" – to users of the Risc PC with PC processor card. By the mid-1990s, the company had determined that the size of the Acorn market was not large enough to provide the revenues needed to invest in developing "the best new programs", and that the tools available for Windows (C++ compilers and class libraries) facilitating development of such new products were not likely to become available for the RISC OS platform, despite the company encouraging Acorn and others to provide them. This word processor would eventually be released as Impression.ĪrtWorks, the predecessor to Xara Xtreme, was released on the Archimedes, having been announced early in the life of the machine as an "object-orientated drawing package, similar to MacDraw in many respects". Various existing BBC Micro products were to be offered to run under emulation on the Archimedes, but the principal new product was to be a "WYSIWYG wordprocessor which makes full use of the RISC windowing environment". In 1986, Computer Concepts released its first piece of software for the Atari ST, Fast ASM, but the company's development focus returned to the Acorn platform when the Acorn Archimedes was released in 1987, pledging "almost exclusively ARM-related" development and indicating that software developed for the Archimedes would not merely be conversions of ST-based software already in progress. Support was set to continue for the company's BBC Micro products, however, and despite showing the Atari ST at the Acorn User Exhibition in 1986, the company introduced new products for the BBC Micro: the Inter-Base and Inter-Word office suite products. ![]() iXara Ltd started to explore cloud developments, and since 2016 both companies have been subsidiaries of Xara GmbH.Ītari ST and Acorn Archimedes development ĭissatisfied with the evolution of Acorn's product range, having "stretched the BBC micro beyond the limit", Computer Concepts announced in late 1985 that the company would concentrate on development for the Atari ST, noting that its need for software was similar to that of the early days of the BBC Micro. the company name was changed to Xara, Ltd., in 1995, and later to The Xara Group, Ltd. ![]() It was originally called Computer Concepts, Ltd. ![]() It started by developing for various 8-bit systems, such as the Acorn Atom and BBC Micro. The company was founded in 1981 by Charles Moir.
